A bit more about me
Hello, I'm Chris, and I specialise in documentary wedding and event photography. I'm based near the border between Surrey and West Sussex, UK - and have travelled throughout the UK and beyond to take photographs. Distance is no object.
Since 2009, I've photographed an incredibly eclectic range of events from festivals and arena concerts, to small parties and private gatherings. I've even covered a series of recording sessions inside Abbey Road Studios, and a flash mob choir surprising shoppers in a branch of John Lewis!
When not working on commission, I'm also an award-winning street photographer. In 2020, I won the British Photography Awards Street Photographer of the Year.
I still find street photography to be the ultimate testing ground for experimentation and refinement. So much of what I've learned through street photography is what translates so well into documentary event photography, such as the need for acute observation and the desire to record an authentic photographic narrative.
