This month I was asked to be a documentary wedding photographer in Surrey, at a special garden party celebration in Egham.

The ceremony had happened some weeks before, but the bride and groom particularly wanted to capture natural images of their guests enjoying their wedding celebration party in their beautiful garden. They told me my style of documentary photography was exactly what they were looking for.

My role as a documentary photographer is primarily to observe and record, whilst letting the bride, groom and guests fully enjoy the moment without being directed or told what to do by a photographer! I love the opportunity to capture natural expressions, stories and details – whilst letting the guests relax and enjoy the occasion with the people who matter most. It was a pleasure to capture the atmosphere and friendship of this very special party as it really happened.
